Update on Operations

During this time of uncertainty, we are doing everything we can to support the children and families we serve. We want to ensure the kids continue to build on all their hard work and continue making progress! We also understand the need to be cautious and stay healthy, so we are offering new opportunities and modifying our practice guidelines.

We now offer tele-sessions for our families through a HIPAA secure platform. In addition to the therapy for kids, families will observe more strategies used during the session which can be implemented at home (especially during this time of social distancing).

Our office remains open, where we continue to see children with certain precautions and restrictions in place. We will not allow more than 2 adults in the waiting room at a time and no more than 2 children (1 in a room) will be seen at the same time. Our therapists will wear gloves during sessions and will sanitize the table, chairs and toys immediately after each session. Additionally, we will continue deep cleaning and sanitizing the office and toys every day. We ask families to not come in if anyone in the family is feeling unwell or if they have been in contact with anyone who is unwell or showing symptoms of COVID-19.

Lastly, we are continuing to offer home visits if families are all healthy and not displaying signs or symptoms of illness. Our therapist will also wear gloves during home visits. As an extra precaution we will not bring toys to your homes as we typically do. Instead we will use toys and items that are already in your homes.

We hope this situation will resolve shortly and we can all get back to business as usual soon. Until then stay healthy and safe and please reach out to us if you have any questions or concerns!
